I spent three months in Chile as part of a Raleigh International expedition and it’s an extraordinary country. It’s long thin outline means it has searing heat and desert in the north to temperate rainforest and glaciers in the south.

My deepest regret is that I didn’t extend my stay by two weeks as Raleigh allowed so I could get down to Punta Arenas and the Torres del Paine national park.

It would be impossible to take a bad photo in Chile - some of mine are in the box to the left. Hi-res scans of slides here.
